I think these are pretty common sense rules about livestreaming, or any internet use for kids, honestly. I’ve seen some kids do really cool things with Youtube channels, or just using the various platforms to interact with other kids. I’ve also seen horror story after horror story of what happens when kids don’t understand the technology and haven’t been educated by parents and other adults. (To be fair, I could say both things about adults too.)
The reality is, sending kids online to use social media and video stream tools without educating them would be like not preparing them in any way shape or form for the real world, then sending them out on their own when they turn 18. You wouldn’t do that, so why would you send them into cyberspace without any preparation?
